We all have stressful days, and we all handles stress in our own ways. Some exercise, some have a few drinks, some binge watch a favorite (or a stupid) show, and some go for the Ben and Jerry’s. It’s important for us to think about our own coping mechanisms and determine whether or not we’re just numbing out and avoiding dealing with our stressors head on, because if we’re just numbing out, the issues that are causing us the stress in the first place are still going to be there when we’ve finished the pint of ice cream or the bottle of wine, but now we’re going to feel bad about the extra calories or the hangover as well.

My guest, Anita Parr, has had her own personal experiences with numbing out and now coaches others to manage their own desires for things that they use in harmful ways (alcohol, food, and more). She discusses her unique approach and her program, Rewire Your Desire, which is a holistic approach incorporating yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition, coaching, and more.

You can learn more about Anita Parr and Rewire Your Desire at www.rewireyourdesire.org and on Facebook at Rewire Your Desire, and you can follow her on Instagram @anitaparryoga.

Anita recommends Louise Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life, which you can get at Amazon [https://amzn.to/2WT21Qy].
