My guest today is Holley Kelley, a gerontologist, fellow in thanatology, multi-award-winning author, and founder of the Latter-Life Planning Institute. She is also host of the weekly radio show, Aging GreatFULLy, broadcasting globally on the CTR Network. Her career emphasis is helping people around the world Live Vibrantly, Plan Thoughtfully and Age Dynamically! As an aging influencer and death change-agent, Kelley is dedicated to promoting positive messages about aging, de-mystifying death and encouraging people to live life through their Bucket List.

She also is a huge advocate for personal end-of-life planning and has created her own novel approach called CREATE PEACE, outlined in her Amazon #1 new release and multi-award-winning book, Sunrises and Sunsets: Final Affairs Forged with Flair, Finesse and FUNctionality (https://amzn.to/2Tysxhh). Holley feels that if one has properly planned their final affairs, they can life their life more fully in the present. Through workshops, inspirational key notes, consulting, and other platforms, Holley helps people around the globe “prepare for the end and inspire their GRAND new beginnings!”

Holley says that aging is the gift of life, because think of what it means if you’re not aging! She offers a number of strategies for reframing what it means to age and how we should view it, and also addresses the typical ways in which women experience aging differently than men. She talks about the benefits of a bucket list, and how the creation of a bucket list can really get us in touch with ourselves and our dreams. Holley teaches her clients that the most important thing they can do to age well is to work on their mindset, and once they work on that, the other pieces can fall into place. She shares with us research about the effects of our thinking about our age on our health, and offers tips for things we can start doing today, regardless of our age.
